Justin Turner was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1992 and appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2009. A member of 8 New Square, he specialises in all aspects of intellectual property litigation. In addition to the UK courts he has appeared before the European Patent Office and the Court of Justice of the European Union. He was formerly an editor of Terrell on the Law of Patents. He is a former a member of GTAC (the Gene Therapy Advisory Committee), a former director of UK Anti-Doping and a former member of the governing council of UCL. Prior to being called to the Bar he obtained a PhD in immunology and virology with an interest in respiratory viruses and trypanosomiasis.
