1640/7/7/24 Vicki Shotbolt Class Representative v Valve Corporation

Application by Vicki Shotbolt Class Representative Limited (the "PCR") under section 47B of the Competition Act 1998 against Valve Corporation. The claims which the PCR seeks to combine are standalone under section 47A of the Competition Act 1998 on behalf of UK-based consumers who purchased video games designed to be played on personal computers and/or additional content (including subscriptions) for such games such as extra storylines, characters, features or in-game currency during the Relevant Period. The PCR alleges that Valve Corporation has abused its dominance in breach of section 18 of the Competition Act 1998 and Article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

A case management conference ("CMC") took place on 13 May 2025.

A hearing to consider the PCR's application for a collective proceedings order ("CPO") took place on 14 October 2025. On 26 January 2026, the Tribunal issued its judgment granting the CPO application ([2026] CAT 4).
