Judgment of the Chair further to an application by Gaskells (North West) Limited ("Gaskells") for further information in relation to a warrant granted to the CMA in respect of Gaskells' premises. Disclosure was sought of substantially all of the material relied upon in the warrant application. The CMA disclosed the relevant material in redacted form and claimed public interest privilege ("PII") over the remainder of the material. Following a review of each of the CMA's claims of PII over the material, the Chair upheld the PII claims and refused Gaskells' application in full.
