1440/7/7/22 Clare Mary Joan Spottiswoode CBE v Nexans France S.A.S. & Others

An application by Clare Mary Joan Spottiswoode CBE to commence collective proceedings under section 47B of the Competition Act 1998 ("the Act") against: (1) Nexans France S.A.S.; (2) Nexans S.A.; (3) NKT A/S (formerly NKT Holdings A/S); (4) NKT Verwaltungs GmbH; (5) Prysmian Cavi E Sistemi S.r.l.; and (6) Prysmian S.p.A. (together "the Respondents/Proposed Defendants") for loss and damage caused by alleged breaches of statutory duty by infringing Article 101 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and Article 53 of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as determined by the European Commission in its infringement decision dated 2 April 2014 in Case AT.39610 Power Cables. 

A case management conference took place on 26 June 2023 at which the President made case management directions, including the listing of the certification hearing. 

The CMC listed to take place on 12 December 2023 has been vacated.

The certification hearing took place on 11 April 2024.

A joint CMC with case 1518 has been listed to take place on 22 May 2024.
