Claim for damages brought by Yew Freight Trading Limited against Puro Ventures Limited in respect of alleged breaches of section 2 of the Competition Act 1998 and Article 101 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
The claim was transferred from the High Court to the Tribunal by order of Judge Pester dated 28 November 2024.
A remote procedural hearing took place on 20 March 2025.
A case management conference took place on 26 June 2025.
A ruling was delivered on 11 August 2025, refusing applications for: (i) a split trial; (ii) allocation to the fast track procedure; and (iii) a cost capping order. The case has been stayed for a period of two months to allow the parties to engage in a mediation.
