The Proposed Class Representative ("PCR) seeks to commence opt-out collective proceedings under section 47B of the Competition Act 1998 (the “Act”). The “PCR” seeks to combine claims for loss and damage caused by breach of statutory duty by companies within the Amazon corporate group, and in particular by infringements of article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (up to 31 December 2020) and section 18 of the Act.

By order of the Chair, the Third Proposed Defendant was removed on 27 September 2024 as a party to the proceedings upon the merger of the Third Proposed Defendant with the Fourth Proposed Defendant on 1 August 2024.
